Dhaka, Sept 30 (UNB) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched investigation against those who amassed huge wealth through casino business.
The probe was launched after the decision was made at an urgent meeting held at the ACC headquarters in the capital on Monday, said its Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
ACC Director Syed Iqbal Hossain has been given the charge of inquiry while its Director General (Special Investigation) Sayeed Mahbub Khan made investigation officer.
Elite force Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) launched the anti-casino drive on September 18.
Law enforcers have so far arrested 270 people during their 35 anti-casino operations across the country.
