Daily infection rate was recorded 23.12 percent.
Besides, 2,487 new cases were confirmed during the period testing 10,759 samples, that took the total cases to 2,57,600.
So far, 12,60,319 samples have been tested and 20.44 found Covid-19 positive.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at the daily health bulletin.
She also revealed that 1,766 patients have made full recovery from Covid-19, raising the number of recoveries to 1,48,370. So far, 57.6 percent patients have recovered in the country.
Since March 18, 2,686 men and 713 women have died from the disease in Bangladesh. The mortality rate is 1.32 percent.

Dr Nasima noted that so far nearly 1,600 people aged above 60 years died of the disease.
She cited DGHS data that said 18 of the total deceased are below 10 years, 33 between 11 and 20 years, 89 between 21 and 30, 218 between 31 and 40, 471 between 41 and 50, 971 between 51 and 60 and 1599 above 60 years.
In the last 24 hours ,15 died in Dhaka division, seven in Khulna, six in Chattogram, four in Rajshahi, one in Mymensingh and two more in Rangpur division.
Of them, one between 21 and 30 years, four between 31 and 40, five between 41 and 50, six between 51 and 60, 11 between 61 and 70, six between 71 and 80 and another between 81 and 90 years.
At present there 1,05,138 active cases of coronavirus infection in Bangladesh.
As the country passes the 22nd week of infection, 1627 lost their lives in Dhaka division, 804 in Chattogram, 213 in Rajshahi, 259 in Khulna, 132 in Barishal, 158 in Sylhet, 134 in Rangpur and 72 in Mymensingh division.
