During the period, another 2,595 Covid-19 cases were detected which increased the number of total cases in the country to 2,79,144 on the 24th week of detection of its infection.
According to a handout provided by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 12,523 new tests were carried out during the period, raising the total number to 13,64189. It said 20.46 percent of tests turned out to be positive.
The daily infection rate was recorded 20.72 percent on Monday.
The total number of recoveries reached 1,60,591 on Monday as 1,641 old patients were reported cured in the last 24 hours.
The recovery rate is now 57.53 percent in Bangladesh, the DGHS release added.
Among the 37 new deaths, including 28 men and nine women, three are between 31 and 40 years of age, while eight between 41 and 50, another eight between 51 and 60, and 18 are above 60 years.
Twenty patients died in Dhaka, while four in Chattogram, three in Rajshahi, six in Khulna, one in Barishal and three in Rangpur divisions during the period.
The DGHS data, recorded since March 18, shows that 19 patients who have lost their lives were below 10 years of age, while 34 between 11 and 20; 91 between 21 and 30; 234 between 31 and 40; 504 between 41 and 50; 1,040 between 51 and 60; and 1,772 were above 60 years of age.
Currently, 640 people are there in isolation while 52,806 are home and institutionally quarantined.
