Three outer roads and four inner roads were recommended to be brought under lockdown, said a notification from the Ministry.
Earlier on June 22, Health Services Department of Health and Family Welfare Ministry announced Ward-41 of Dhaka city, covering Wari, as ‘Red Zone.’
Tipu Sultan Road, Jahangir Road, Dhaka-Sylhet Highway (Joykali Temple to Baldha Garden) in outer road and Lalmini road, Hare road, War road, Rankin Street and Nawab St in inner Wari were recommended to be put under strict lockdown.
DSCC has been urged to put the Wari area under lockdown according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by LGD.
Bangladesh has so far reported 1,41,801 coronavirus cases and 1,783 deaths.
The heath authorities on Monday reported 4,014 new cases and 45 deaths in the span of 24 hours until Monday morning.
