A discussion meeting titled "Imam Khomeini (RA): Defender of Independence and Freedom for Muslims and Islamic Countries" was held on Tuesday to mark the 36th death anniversary of Imam Khomeini, the founder of Iran.
Cultural Centre, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dhaka organised the discussion meeting at Kabi Sufia Kamal auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum this afternoon.
Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Bangladesh Open University, was present as Chief Guest while Ambassador of Iran to Bangladesh Mansour Chavoshi was present as special guest.

Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam Al-Maruf, Principal, Mohakhali Darul Ulum Hossainia Kamil Madrasa, Gulshan, Dhaka and Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Syed Ibrahim Khalil Razavi, Principal, Islamic Education Centre, Khulna were present as guests of honor.
Seyed Reza Mirmohammadi, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of Iran in Bangladesh, presided over the meeting.
