He suggested that Qatar employ more professional workers in their different economic sectors.
Dr Momen conveyed this when a five-member delegation, led by State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, met him at his Foreign Ministry office.
The Qatari minister mentioned that the FIFA World Cup 2022 is a mega event for Qatar for which Qatar requires support from foreign countries.
Foreign Minister Dr Momen said the government has undertaken befitting programmes to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through March 2020 to March 2021.
Bangladesh will also celebrate the golden jubilee of independence of Bangladesh in March 2021, he added.
Dr Momen said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working for poverty alleviation.
During the last decade, poverty has been drastically reduced. Bangladesh has registered remarkable economic growth, he said.
The foreign minister also particularly sought continued support from Qatar over the early repatriation of Rohingya people to their homeland in a safe and secured manner.
State Minister of Qatar conveyed the regards of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Foreign Minister of Qatar, to the Foreign Minister Dr Momen.
He assured that Qatar would be happy to employ skilled Bangladeshi workers in fitting areas.
Bangladeshi workers are playing a very important role in their workplaces in Qatar, Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi added.
He informed that the Foreign Office Consultations would continue to review the progress of the ongoing cooperation and follow-up.
