Keeping in view the health safety of all farms and buyers, the ICT Division has set up the digital market, said a press release.
The digital platform named "Food for Nation" was initiated by the Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) project of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the ICT Division.
The project took this initiative of Digital Hat under its "Startup Bangladesh" banner of iDEA project.

This initiative is expected to be effective in maintaining social and physical distance to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Farmers, livestock traders from all over Bangladesh have already started registering with the largest digital animal market.
Free registration is available in https://foodfornation.gov.bd/qurbani2020/.
After registration, cattle sellers have to upload pictures, videos, and other information about the animal from the panel.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak MP said, “Food for Nation” platform is going to be the largest digital market in the country for sacrificial animals.
“We’ve taken this initiative to prevent the economic loss of the cattle farmers and traders and ensure the health safety of the buyers,” he said.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to view pictures and videos of sacrificial animals from home.
At the same time, they will also have the opportunity to communicate directly with cattle farmers or traders while buyers may collect cattle from a specific place or get a home delivery clearing payment.
