The Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) at Jamuna Future Park (JFP) in Dhaka inaugurated a Visa Application Facilitation Centre (VAFC) Thursday on the 74th Republic Day of India.
The centre will provide an online visa application form "filling-up" facility.
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma inaugurated the Visa Application Facilitation Centre.
Ever since online visa applications became mandatory, there have been requests for such a centre, where applicants, who do not have a computer or an internet connection, can come with their passports or documents and avail of the online visa application form filling-up facility and get their visa applications printed.

The form filling-up facility at the VAFC will be provided for a service fee of Tk200 per application. This will be an optional value-added service provided by the IVAC. This facility will be rolled out in other IVACs in Bangladesh depending on demand.
As the VAFC is located adjacent to the IVAC in JFP, visa applicants can easily generate visa applications at the VAFC and submit the completed visa applications and documents at the IVAC.
Fifteen Indian visa application centres located across Bangladesh have been managed by the State Bank of India (SBI) since December 2005. The IVAC Dhaka at JFP, which started its operations in July 2018, is the world's biggest Indian visa application centre.
