A man who fled from hospital with cold, fever, and cough, died at his residence at Shailan village of Birampur upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Azizar Rahman, 35. He was a bicycle mechanic.
Katla Union Parishad Chairman Md Nazir Hossain said Azizar had been suffering from cold, fever, and cough for the last 12 days.
He went to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital where doctors asked him to get admitted on Monday but he fled from the hospital that night.
Azizar died at his residence around 10am, he added.

Birampur Upazila Health Complex Dr Solaiman Hossain said they have collected the samples of the deceased and sent to the hospital for coronavirus test.
