A man who fled from hospital with cold, fever, and cough, died at his residence at Shailan village of Birampur upazila on Tuesday morning.

Four more people, including a woman, have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Munshiganj, raising the total number in the district to 18.   Civil Surgeon Dr Abul Kalam Azad said they sent the samples of 23 people on Sunday and four of them were found to be positive for coronavirus.   They include a vegetable vendor, 60, hailing from Sadar upazila, a pharmacist, 54, and a housewife, 55, in Gazaria upazila, and a youth, 27, in Sirajdikhan upazila.     “So far, we’ve received test results of 128 people and found 18 of them positive,” Dr Azad said.   Fifteen of them were sent to hospitals for treatment while two others are in isolation at their respective homes.     The samples of 147 people have so far collected in the district and they were yet to receive the test results of 19 people, the civil surgeon said.

An elderly man who died on Thursday in Tongibari upazila was infected with coronavirus, test results revealed Sunday.

Seven people have tested positive for coronavirus in Thagurgaon, Nilphamari, Chattogram and Laxmipur between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

A man who recently returned from Dhaka was diagnosed with coronavirus on Sunday.

Samples taken from an elderly man who died two days ago with fever, cold and cough in Satkania upazila tested positive for coronavirus.
