Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka and Barishal divisions and it may continue, Met office said on Tuesday.
The heat wave is also sweeping over the regions of Bogura, Naogaon, Sirajganj, Khulna, Mongla, Satkhira, Jashore and Rangamati, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said.

Besides, severe heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Chuadanga & Kushtia, BMD added.
About the synoptic situation, Met office said a trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area, extending it up to North Bay.
Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet divisions in next 24 hours commencing from 6pm on Tuesday, BMD said in regular bulletin.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, Met office predicted.
