It was learnt that some friends including Raj Pratap were celebrating the birthday of one Musa in school during the tiffin period.
The students were allegedly making a TikTok video, violating the school rules, and being very noisy too.
Some teachers, including accused Abokash Kha, lost their temper and locked themselves into an altercation with the students.
At one stage, Abokash Kha punched, kicked and slapped Raj Pratap, who sustained injuries in this incident.
Taposi Das, paternal aunt of the victim, said Raj Pratap came back home following the incident and deteriorated suddenly.
His elder brother rushed him to a local hospital where the physician declared him dead, she said.
Echoing Taposi, local UP Chairman Nazmul Nayeem alleged the student died due to the thrashing by the teacher.

Kazi Moniruzzaman, superintendent of Satkhira police, said on information they rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
The headmaster and the accused Abokash were detained in this connection, he said, adding that they were looking into the matter.
