Each 461 people with disabilities of these four villages will get Tk 2500 in cash while every family will get one lungi and one saree, PM's press secretary Ihsanul Karim said.
He said that for lungi and saree Tk 16,13,500 has been allotted.
The four villages are-- Jamshedpur, Dhalipara, Makhorgaon Nd Aamtoil, which are known as greater Aamtoil village.
The rate of disability in these villages is more than double comparing to average rate in Sylhet district.
Younger daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Rehana brought the matter to the notice of her elder sister Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and she took the matter in cognisance instantly, Ihsanul Karim said.
She gave some directives to the authorities concerned for ensuring health care of the people with disabilities for their future development.
These are-- properly identifying problems of the disabled persons, bringing them under special allowance, increasing awareness of health protection and family planning, counselling in every house, increasing awareness for maintaining neat and clean environment apart from own houses, ensuring vitamin supplementary medicines for ensuring nutrition and pure drinking water.
She also directed the authorities concerned to take steps for infrastructural development including land leveling, waste management and introduction of drainage system, establishment of disabled school with multidimensional education system and providing assisting materials like wheelchair, tricycle, hearing device as per the demand.
