Dhaka, Oct 18 (UNB) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday mourned the death of internationally acclaimed Ekushey Padak winning artist Kalidas Karmakar.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said the painter was specially acclaimed among the artists for his experimental art works through which he used to portray “Abahaman Bangla”.
“His art works will continue to inspire the new generations,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Karmakar passed away at a private hospital in Dhaka on Friday at the age of 73.
