Power, Energy Ministry donates Tk 16.64cr to PM’s relief fund


The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has contributed about Tk 16.64 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund to deal with coronavirus pandemic. 

The amount was mobilised from one-day salary of the staff of the ministry and grants from different subordinate bodies of the ministry, said a press release.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid handed over a cheque of the amount to Prime Minister’s principal secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus at the PMO.      

Senior Secretary of the Energy Division Anisur Rahman and Power Secretary Dr Sultan Ahmed were present on the occasion.
