He took the vaccine shot at his official residence Bangabhaban at 5:15pm, his Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told UNB.
His wife Rashida Khanam also received her corona vaccine at Bangabhaban this afternoon.
At the same time, the President called upon the people to take corona vaccine and abide by the health rules, said Press Secretary also said
Secretaries concerned to the President were also present during the vaccination programme.

The government launched a countrywide vaccination drive on Feb 7.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received her first dose on March 4. On February 24, her sister Sheikh Rehana had her first vaccine jab.
By Wednesday, 4,118,953 people received the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. The second dose has to be taken between 8 and 12 weeks of the first one.
So far 5,361,778 people have registered for vaccine.
The government signed an agreement with the Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd, the world's largest vaccine manufacturer, for acquiring 30 million doses of the vaccine. Serum will provide five million doses every month between January and June.
People, who are 40 or above, have to register at www.surokkha.gov.bd.
