The weather department has predicted showers across Bangladesh in the 24 hours commencing 9 am on Sunday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions; at many places over Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over southern part of the country,” the weather department said in a bulletin.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over southern part of Bangladesh and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country.

Rainfall activity is likely to continue, it added.
The weather office recorded the highest 45 mm rainfall in Teknaf of Chattogram division in 24 hours till 6am on Sunday.
The highest temperature was recorded at 37.0 degrees Celsius in Tetulia of Rangpur division, while the lowest temperature was recorded at 24.0 degrees in Teknaf.
Meanwhile, a low pressure area formed over North Bay, intensified into a well-marked low first and then into a Depression and now lies over Northwest Bay off West Bengal-North Odisha coast and adjoining areas, as per the bulletin.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and the centre of the Depression to Assam across central part of Bangladesh, it added.
