A retired bank official was killed allegedly by his son at Kolabagan area of sadar upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Alef Khan, 67, a retired official of Janata Bank and resident of the area.
Family members alleged that Jahangir Alam Khan used to torture his father for money, said Md Rashid Ahmmed, officer-in-charge of Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station.

Jahangir locked into an altercation with his father at night. At one stage, he strangulated his father to death, claimed the family members.
Alef Khan’s daughter Anwara Khanom filed a murder case.
Police also arrested the accused son, said the OC.
