A court here on Monday placed a suspended constable of Benapole Port Police Station on a five-day remand again in a case filed against him allegedly for providing confidential information to Indian police.
The suspended police constable is Prasad Saha, son of Surendranath Saha of Terokhadaupazila in Khulna.
Jashore Judicial Magistrate Saifuddin Hussain passed the order when investigation officer of the case sought a 10-day remand for Prasad.
Earlier, Prasad was put on a five-day remand on Thursday.
According to the case statement, Prasad handed over two pen drives with confidential information to Indian police in 2018.
On October 25 last, members of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence and Rapid Action Battalion held an army man and seized a pen drive containing valuable information from a hotel at Kamalapur in Dhaka.
Later, Prasad was found involved in leaking information. He was arrested from Mirpur area in the capital December 17.
