Two people were killed as two motorcycles collided head-on on Minto Road in Ramna on Thursday.
One of the deceased was identified as Md Samir, 18, son of Abdul Gaffar and a student of Dhanmondi Ideal College.
The identity of another youth could not be known immediately.
Sub-Inspector Mojammel Hossain of Ramna Police Station said the two were left seriously injured after the accident that took place around 3:15pm.
They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where they died in the afternoon, the SI said.
The bodies were sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
