Many Officers' Club Dhaka members opened Nagad accounts during the four-day "Eid Ananda Mela" held in the capital, said the mobile financial service provider.
All members of the Women's Committee of Officers' Club, led by former information secretary and President of the committee Begum Kamrun Nahar, and General Secretary and Principal of Government Bangla College Professor Ferdousi Khan registered Nagad accounts.
On the last day of the fair Sunday, Kamrun Nahar said: "We are paying close attention to Nagad as it is a government service. The members of the club embraced it and I also opened a Nagad account."

The Officers' Club hosts Eid Ananda Mela twice a year to promote small and medium entrepreneurs.
Around 30 enterprises from across the country participated in this year's fair.
Ferdousi Khan said the Officers' Club hosts such fairs to support entrepreneurs who do not have their own shops. "We observed that Nagad's digital payment technology has made transactions simple for them."
