All the Bangladesh archers made their early exit from their respective events of the 23rd Asian Archery Championship' 2023 held in Bangkok on Wednesday.
In the day's recurve men's team event, Bangladesh team was eliminated from quarterfinal final stage losing to South Korea by 2-6 sets. Earlier, they qualified for the quarterfinal eliminating Mongolia by 6-0 sets.
Bonnya Akter of Bangladesh was eliminated from the quarterfinal of the compound women's singles losing to Lyan Viktoriya of Kazakhstan by 142-143 score.

Hakim Ahmed Rubel of Bangladesh lost to Rai Tarundeep of India by 4-6:sets in the recurve men's singles event.
Two archers of compound division out of eight- member Bangladesh team--Mohammad Ashiqquzzaman and Bonnya Akter -- will return home on Friday (November 10)
The remaining six archers --three male and three female, all of recurve division--will stay in Bangkok to compete in the Asian Continental Qualifying Tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games to be held there from November 10-12.

The six recurve division's archers are: Hakim Ahmed Rubel, Roman Shana, Sagor Islam, Diya Siddiqui, Shima Akter Shimu, Monira Akter.
