The Maldives earned the 3rd consecutive victory in the five-nation first Bangamata Asian Senior Women’s Central Zone International Volleyball Championship’2019 beating all-loser Afghanistan by straight 3-0 (25-6, 25-7, 25-8) sets in their 3rd match at the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.

In the day’s other match, Nepal beat Kyrgyzstan also by straight 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-20) sets in their 2ndmatch of the meet at the same venue on Monday.

Earlier, the Maldives beat Kyrgyzstan by 3-2 sets and defeated hosts Bangladesh by 3-0 sets while Nepal started their campaign beating Afghanistan also by3-0 sets.

In the next matches on Tuesday, Kyrgyzstan will face Afghanistan at 1 pm while Bangladesh will play against Nepal at 3 pm.

Bangladesh will play Kyrgyzstan in their 4thand last match on Wednesday (Nov 13) at 3 pm while the final and the 3rd place deciding match will be held on Thursday (Nov 14), all at the same venue.

Earlier, Bangladesh made a flying start beating Afghanistan by straight 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-3) sets in the opening match before suffering 0-3 (16-25, 25-27, 22-25) sets defeat against the Maldives in their 2nd match.
