Bangladesh Navy, BGB win V-Day Volleyball
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Bangladesh Navy won their respective matches in the Victory Day Volleyball Tournament at the Shaheed Nur Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday.
National Youth Handball: Dhaka District win day's both matches
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) outplayed Bangladesh Fire Service by straight 3-0 sets while Bangladesh Navy beat BKSP by 3-1 sets.
The day's other matches between Power Development Board and Bangladesh Jail, and Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Police were in progress till the last reports were received.

Bangabandhu Asian Central Zone U-23 Volleyball Championship begins
The Bangabandhu Asian Central Zone Under-23 Men's International Volleyball Championship'2022 began here on Thursday (Dec 22) at the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
Four countries---Nepal, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan and hosts Bangladesh are taking part in the competition.
LGRD and Co Operatives Minister M Tajul Islam inaugurated the four-nation meet as the chief guest Thursday afternoon.

MP(Member of Parliament) Elias Uddin Mollah was the special guest at the function chaired by the President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) and Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam. BVF Senior Vice President and Tournament Committee Chairman Mohammad Younus, BVF general secretary Ashiqur Rahman Miku, Unique Group chairman Mohammad Nur Ali were also present on the occasion.
In two opening day's matches, Bangladesh taking on Nepal while Sri Lanka playing against Kyrgyzstan.

I-Day Volleyball: Army, Navy, Police win
Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Police won their respective matches in the Walton Independence and National Day Volleyball Tournament 2022 at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium on Tuesday.
Bangladesh Army outplayed Prison Directorate (Bangladesh Jail) by 25-16, 25-14 and 25-8 points, Bangladesh Navy defeated Power Development Board (PDB) by 25-17, 22-25, 27-25 and 25-20 points while Bangladesh Police beat Bangladesh Ansar by 25-20, 25-14 and 26-22 points.

The day's last fixture between Bangladesh Air Force and Titas Club was in progress till filing this report.
On Wednesday, Bangladesh Navy will play Prison Directorate at 9 am while Titas Club will encounter Bangladesh Ansar at 11 am at the same venue.

Bangamata 6-Nations Volleyball: Bangladesh finishes 5th beating Maldives
Bangladesh women’s team finished 5th in the six-nation Bangamata Asian Central Zone Women’s Volleyball Challenge beating the Maldives by 3-2 sets at the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.
Bangladesh’s Women’s team completed their Asian engagements with winning note beating the Maldives by 17-25, 25-23, 25-18, 23-25 and 17-15 points in their 5th and last match after conceding four successive defeats in which they failed to win even a set -Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

In the event’s final, Uzbekistan will play Nepal on Tuesday while Kyrgyzstan will meet Sri Lanka in the 3rd place deciding match.

Asian Volleyball: Sri Lankan team arrive in Dhaka
Sri Lankan Volleyball team arrived in the capital on Tuesday to compete in the six-nation Bangabandhu and Bangamata Asian Central Zone Challenge Cup Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Championships beginning here on Thursday at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
Earlier on Monday, two other foreign teams--Nepal and Kyrgyzstan –-arrived in the city to participate in the meet.
Six participating countries --- Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and host Bangladesh—will compete in the six-day meet in the Bangabandhu men’s and Bangamata women’s competitions.

All the six teams will compete in the women’s section while five teams, except Kyrgyzstan, will participate in the men’s section of the meet.
Host Bangladesh will play the Maldives in the official opening match of the men’s section at 3:30 pm while Bangladesh will play Kyrgyzstan at 1:30 pm in the women’s completion.
After league basis matches, two top teams of both the men’s and women’s groups will play in the final.
Meanwhile, the logo and trophy unveiling ceremony of the championship was held today (Tuesday) at the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) office here.

Two foreign teams -- Nepal and Kyrgyzstan --arrived here on Monday to join the six-nation Bangabandhu Asian Central Zone Challenge Cup Volleyball Championship, beginning on Thursday.
