Dr Zafar Uddin, acting secretary to ministry of Youth and Sports, will formally inaugurate the five-day meet in the afternoon.
Eight teams, split into two groups, will compete initially on league basis matches and later two top teams from each of the groups will play in the semifinals on Tuesday (April 9). The final and the 3rd place-deciding matches will be held on Wednesday (April 10).
General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Ashiqur Rahman Miku disclosed the details at a press conference at the federation’s meeting room on Saturday.
Federation member Mustafa Kamal, tournament’s vice chairman Nayana Chowdhury and tournament secretary Nibedita Das were also present on the occasion.
Participating teams:
Group A – Wari Club, Narayanganj District, Dhaka University and Quantum Foundation
Group B – Ansar & VDP, Bangladesh Police, Kishoreganj District and Viqarunnissa Noon School.
Five matches will be held on the opening day (Sunday) in the morning and afternoon.
