“You can’t become cricketers by playing with balls wrapped in tapes. You have to play using the specific type of cricket balls,” he said when inaugurating the final of a T20 tournament in Faridpur’s Modhukhali on Friday.
The ‘Ayesha-Sami Cricket Tournament’ was played in the upazila’s Kamaldia Union. Sami sporting club organised the tournament.

Mashrafe, an MP from Narail-2 constituency, encouraged the youngsters to play cricket.
“Sports can keep the young men away from drugs and crimes. The organisers have to aware about using the specific ball used in cricket matches,” he said.
In the day’s match, Abdur Rahman Technical School and College opted to field after winning the toss. Their opponent, Mrigi Sporting Club, scored 234 runs in 20 overs losing six wickets.
