Former India captain Virat Kohli was in magnificent form in the 2022 Twenty20 World Cup main event, scoring 296 runs, the most in the tournament. Kohli made four half-centuries in six innings with a strike rate of 136.40, and he was the pivotal figure of his side’s batting lineup. Sri Lanka’s leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva was the most successful bowler in the eighth edition of the Twenty20 format World Cup with 15 wickets in eight innings. The other two bowlers who finished among the top three are England’s Sam Curran and the Netherlands' Bas de Leede. Both Curran and de Leede had a strike rate of just over 10, which indicates how lethal they were during the tournament.

England’s Sam Curran was one of the most consistent performers in the Twenty20 World Cup 2022.
