V-Day Volleyball: Army, Air Force earn 2nd consecutive victory


Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Air Force earned their 2nd consecutive victory in the Walton Victory Day Volleyball Tournament beating their rivals on the 3rd day of the meet at the Shaheed Nur Hossain National Volleyball Stadium here on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Army, which made a good start beating Power Development Board (PDB) by straight 3-0 sets on the opening day (Sunday), earned their 2nd successive victory in Group A beating BKSP also by straight 3-0 sets on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Air Force registered their 2nd win defeating Bangladesh Police by 3-1 sets in Group B match on Tuesday after beating Bangladesh Navy by 3-2 sets in their first match last Sunday.

In Tuesday’s other match, Power Development Board (PDB) tasted their first victory in their 2nd Group A match beating Bangladesh Jail (Prison Directorate) by straight 3-0 sets at the same venue.

Three more matches- Bangladesh Navy vs Fire Service at 11 pm, Power Development Board (PDB) vs Bangladesh Ansar 1 pm and Bangladesh Army vs Bangladesh Jail (Prison Directorates) at 3 pm will be held on Wednesday (December 25).
