The smartphone market is right now brimmed with low-budget phones. One great reason behind this is smartphone parts are becoming cheaper with time. The power and features you can get within an entry-level phone were unimaginable even a couple of years ago. Itel has a goal to offer quality smartphones to consumers who are looking for cheap phones. Objectifying the same goal, the company has introduced another handset, “Itel Vision 2 Plus.” By its name, it is the descendant of the priorly released Itel Vision 2. This Itel Vision 2 Plus review will go through all the nitty-gritty details of the phone.

Itel Vision 2 Plus Full Review

Itel first announced the installation of Itel Vision 2 Plus in May 2021, and later in the same month, the phone got released. While their many features lent from its ancestral model Vision 2, a couple of tweaks have also been made.

Design

The hurdle of manufacturing an entry-level phone is making a balance among all the features. In most budget-phones are some strong and weak points. When it comes to Itel Vision 2 Plus, its design is one of the best features. It has around 7 inches giant body that is difficult to operate with one hand.

The rear cover has a matte and textured finish. The texture is elegantly designed as it can only felt with a hand. Visualizing it is not easy from even a near distance. This specific finish has made the cover less sensitive to staining.

The back has a dual camera panel on the upper left, a fingerprint sensor on the upper middle. It can be a little hurdle to reach the sensor as it might felt a bit higher than usual. A volume rocker with a power button is placed on the right side of the phone. On the left is a multi-channel dual sim cardholder. At the bottom, a mic, an audio jack, and a mini loudspeaker crowd.

Display

An IPS Full HD display might not ring the bell even when it comes with an entry-level phone. But what must beat the drum is getting a 6.8” IPS display featuring 720P resolution. The giant screen is a unique addition to a phone with such a minimal rate. Moreover, it has a 60-Hz display which justifies the phone. The touch response was not bad at all.

However, the brightness of the phone is an issue in the presence of bright light. On the outside, even with full brightness, the display will show itself much.  The color projection on the screen feels a bit wishy-washy as it lacks standard contrast. Still, it is better compared to other similarly rated phones in the market.

Lenses and Snaps

The rear camera panel contains two cameras. The primary one is a 13MP lens which is accompanied by a 0.3MP depth sensor. Cameras can break hearts if they are expected to deliver super-quality pictures. They will give as much as a low-budget phone should do.

Daylight snaps are of good quality and project near perfect color range. However, they can seem a bit washed out as edge detection capacity is not up to the mark. Lowlight captures are not satisfactory as noise level overwhelms them.

The secondary selfie camera is an 8MP lens that processes pictures that seem a bit washed out. Apart from it, the amount of brightness and color synchronization seems acceptable.

Hardware and Performance

The first reminder to the buyer of an entry-level phone is that he/she must compromise the performance. However, as it seems, Itel Vision 2 Plus has tried its best to incorporate a standard-level processor. The octa-core Spreadtrum UniSoC SC9863A chipset is not something people can get in such priced phones. Besides, the PowerVR GE8322 GPU has only strengthened the phone’s performance.

This results in smooth regular task execution and multi-tasking. Users can also play low requirement games as long as they want. Such games will give them a lag-free, seamless experience.

However, if anyone wants to play games PUBG, or Call of Duty, or Asphalt 9, and other high config games, he will be disappointed. They are unplayable with this phone.

Another disappointment for the users is the operating system implemented in the Itel Vision 2 Plus. The company should have gone for the Android 11 instead of Android 10 GO Edition.

Battery and Charging

A huge 5000mAh battery is definitely pleasing when it comes to such a reasonable price. This extra-large battery will easily keep the phone alive for at least 8 to 10 hours. With limited use, it can even sustain more than a day.

But what users can’t believe is the 5W charger that comes with the phone. It’s still a wonder how Itel decided to offer such a weak charger to fill up a battery that size. It’s like filling a water Jug with a tablespoon. The charger takes around 6 to 7 hours to feed the battery to its head.

 Price in Bangladesh

Itel has made only one variant of Vision 2 Plus available in Bangladesh. It has 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. Interested people can get this phone at BDT 8,990. Though the price is unimaginably low, still the offered RAM capacity is a major downside for it. Even its ancestor phone Itel Vision 2 offers 3GB RAM. Depreciation in such an important feature is definitely a bad play from the smartphone company’s end.

Like all the other phones, Itel Vision 2 Plus has its own perks and disadvantages. The minimal price, large display, and ginormous battery surely play by the phone’s side. While the insufficient RAM, poor phone performance, camera performance, etc. downsize the phone’s overall quality. The phone will be the perfect fit for people who has a tight budget and still want a smartphone for regular tasks. Otherwise, buying this phone will be disappointing.
