The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus is the embodiment of an incremental improvement. It looks and functions similarly to its predecessor, enough so that it is tough to fully separate this phone from the Galaxy S21 Plus that came before it – largely. Thankfully, last year’s middle Galaxy S child was a pretty fine phone on its own, and Galaxy S22 Plus review reveals that its follow-up is likewise a terrific product.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus is an undeniably attractive phone, even more so when dressed in the lovely pink hue of the review unit. Not only does the Armor Aluminum chassis enhance longevity, but it also has an ultra-premium feel to it. Fortunately, Samsung has retained the Galaxy S22  Plus's back. Both the front and back of the gadget are protected with Gorilla Glass Victus Plus.

Samsung's camera housing maintains the "Contour Cut" design. It's a pleasure to gaze at the rear camera module's beautiful chamfered edges. Although this is a large gadget, it feels extremely safe in the hand. It's fantastic to notice that the metal frame prevents the tablet from being too slippery.

The smaller but more rounded, flatter, and sharper edges tie everything together well. Samsung has done an excellent job with this model's design, taking what made its predecessor so distinctive and basically perfecting it.

Display

The Galaxy S22 Plus, like its predecessor, has a flat Infinity-O display with thin bezels. The 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display supports a maximum resolution of FHD Plus and a refresh rate of 48Hz–120Hz.

It intelligently adjusts the refresh rate according to the content you're viewing. As a result, the device's battery life is extended. One can never grow bored of using a fast refresh rate display, and we're delighted that Samsung's Galaxy S flagship series now has one.

Samsung offers the industry's greatest mobile OLED screens, which puts the Galaxy S22 Plus in a class of its own. The display has a noticeable increase in brightness. The Galaxy S21 Plus can attain a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits, while the Galaxy S22 Plus can reach a whopping 1,750 nits.

As a consequence, outside visibility is greatly increased. The panel is of exceptional quality. You get true-to-life colors with strong contrast. Additionally, the viewing angles are excellent. When you combine this with the high refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor that performs well, there is nothing more you need from the display.

Rear Cameras

The Galaxy S21 and S21+ have no hardware changes over the Galaxy S20 and S20+ cameras. With the Galaxy S22 and S22+, this is not the case. There are many significant changes here. There is a 50 MP primary camera rather than a 12MP one, and a true 3x zoom lens rather than a conventional 64MP camera, which means optical magnification rather than digital zoom, comparable to the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21 FE.

If you assumed the leap from a 12MP to a 50MP sensor would result in significant improvements, you're in for a surprise. There is no discernible difference between the 12MP images taken by the S21+ and the 12MP photos taken by the S22+ during the day, in my experience. The same holds true for videos.

While night shots are marginally sharper, the greater megapixel count is mostly for marketing reasons if you're going to shoot in automatic mode with a conventional point-and-shoot camera. If you wish, you can switch to the full 50 MP resolution setting on the S22+, but other than having more space to zoom in on an image without losing information, you're not really gaining anything valuable.

Font Camera

The 32-megapixel selfie camera, meanwhile, captures crisp, vivid shots with an outstanding bokeh effect that cleanly cuts around the subject for a striking "popping" effect.

The selfie camera is another component of the hardware that has remained the same for the S22 and S22+ this year, so there is nothing to say about it. Daytime selfies are detailed and quite accurate to your true skin tone, however, nocturnal selfies are softer and include some small noise.

Performance and Software

The Galaxy S22+ comes pre-installed with Android 12 and One UI 4.1. The latter is a small update to Samsung's proprietary skin, including new features and enhancements. Samsung has made enhancements to the camera and other native applications. RAM Plus has been upgraded to allow customers to choose the amount of virtual RAM they need. Additionally, certain visual changes have been done to update the UI's appearance and feel.

Everything works well. Nothing is there to be encountered as problems or issues that impair the user experience. Apps will crash seldom, if at all. This demonstrates that Samsung has made great progress in terms of software stability.

There are two possible chipset options inside the S22 Plus models, with some operating on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and others on the Exynos 2200, the latter of which has been examined.

You'd expect a flagship gadget of this caliber to perform well when the CPU is put to the test, and thankfully, this handset exceeded all expectations.

You'll note that it has no issues with whatever daily applications you're using today, and when it comes to serious gaming, the phone is a joy to use, easily capable of handling the most demanding titles on their highest attainable settings.

Battery and Charging

When the Galaxy S224,500mAh +'s battery capacity was disclosed, it came as a surprise. It is much smaller than the 4,800mAh battery found in the Galaxy S21+. 

Samsung may choose a smaller battery on the Galaxy S22+ as a result of the new internals' efficiency advantages. According to different tests, the gadget can easily maintain a screen-on period of around 7 hours. It should last about 15 hours on a single charge.

Price of Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus in Bangladesh

Conclusion

Given the Galaxy S22 Plus’s initial price, you would argue that several of its specifications should have been improved. However, it’s for sure that Samsung's choice to concentrate on the necessities and refine the core experience has paid off, transforming the Galaxy S22+ into the ideal phone. That is to say, this phone is perfectly enough and, in my opinion, the finest of the three Galaxy S22 versions for the majority of consumers.
