Xiaomi is one of the leading companies that produce quality smartphones. On July 10, 2020, Xiaomi has launched their latest smartphone Redmi 9 in Bangladesh with a surprisingly affordable price tag! Stay with us to know the features, specs, limitations, and price of Redmi 9 in Bangladesh.
Key Features of Redmi 9
Build Quality
Though Redmi 9 features polycarbonate construction, the fascinating anti-finger magnetic design keeps it smudge-free. On the rear-side, this Smartphone owns a matte texture displaying a circular design that emulates Poco X2. If you dislike glossy smartphones, pick Redmi 9!

The power button and volume rocker sit on the right; while on the left side, it carries the SIM card tray with dual nano-SIM card slots with a dedicated slot for MicroSD card. You will find a noise canceller with an IR blaster on its upper side. Furthermore, the bottom edge is packed with a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, primary microphone, and a bottom-firing speaker. The sound quality of its loudspeaker and earphones is quite satisfactory.
Redmi 9 has a fast face unlock sensor on the front side. The efficient fingerprint scanner has been blended with the vertical camera bump on its rear side. You will also find a flashlight below the rear camera panel. The flash proof nano-coating has made this Smartphone suitable for rough use.

Mind-Blowing Display
Redmi 9 is blessed with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel display, which is a major improvement from its ancestor Redmi 8. Owning a full HD Plus display, Redmi 9 has entered a head to head competition with the Realme 6i. By virtue of Superior display, Redmi 9 has out won many pricier competitors.
Though budget-level smartphones usually come with a compromised display due to cost-cutting issues, the bright display of Redmi 9 has overturned this trend. Xiaomi deserves to applaud for providing 1080x2340 Pixels resolution with 19:5:9 ratios, 395PPI density, and 400 nit brightness. You will get great brightness, visibility, and color contrast in daylight. Furthermore, its ‘Eye Protection’ feature is a bonus for the young generation who spent long hours in gaming or web browsing.
Compared with Redmi 8, the latest 9 version bears thinner bezels with ~83.2% screen-to-body ratios. But on the bottom side, the bezels are a bit thicker. Its water drop notch won’t break the continuity of the display. The ‘Redmi’ logo has been sent to its rear side making the display cleaner than its ancestor Redmi 8.
Like the competitor Realme 6i, Xiaomi’s Redmi 9 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. But it is a downgrade from the ancestor Redmi 8’s Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Camera Line Up
Redmi 9 offers four rear cameras. The 13MP primary rear camera (f/2.2 aperture, 28mm wide) can take decent photos with nice detailing, and color contrast in broad daylight. However, the dynamic range may not impress you. The secondary 8MP (@f/2.2 aperture) wide-angle lens is capable of shooting at a 118-degree field of view preserving sharpness and color quality in ample light conditions.
Its 2MP Depth sensor can take nice portraits with correct edges with a bit of imposed smoothness. 5MP Macro lens is a great addition, which you can hardly find in the similarly priced competitors. In low light, the pictures may lose some detailing, but you can take good photos using night mode, super slow motion, time-lapse, and many more exciting features. The overall picture quality is pretty nice considering the price range.
In Redmi 9, Xiaomi has provided the 8 MP, f/2.0 front camera, which we have also seen in the ancestor 8 version. Though the front shooter takes smooth portraits, the sharpness is not compromised. Apply the night mode to capture better selfies in low light situations.
Both the primary and the front camera can shoot video at 1080p@30fps. However, you have to sacrifice 4K video recording. If you are looking for a Smartphone for professional vlogging or photography, you can check out other smartphones.

Efficient Processor
In Redmi 9, Xiaomi has provided Mediatek Helio G80 processor with CPU architecture of Cortex A-75 and A-55. This configuration may dishearten the gamers expecting a Snapdragon processor. This Smartphone is provided with GPU Mali-G52 MC2 which would facilitate running PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and other games in high settings.
To cope up with the high-resolution display, Redmi 9’s processor functions thoroughly, this may cause some frame drops in action moments. Its surface areas may get heated up when you do gaming for long hours. For regular use, this Smartphone works great.

OS and Software
Redmi 9 runs on Android 10 OS supported by MIUI 11 interface. Very soon, it may be upgraded to the latest MIUI 12 version. The advertisements have been reduced which is good news for the Mi fans.
Turning to the sensors, Redmi 9 is programmed with advanced features like Bluetooth 5, distance sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, vibration motor, etc. However, the lack of Gyroscope is bad news for gamers. This trendy Smartphone features security level-1 certification which is a windfall for those who use diverse online streaming services.

Powerful Battery & Standard Memory
Redmi 9 is currently available at 4GB by 64GB configuration. This Smartphone is equipped with an eMMC 5.1 storage type, which may somewhat delay the data transfer process. The inclusion of LPDDR4X RAM has made this Smartphone truly smart. 64GB internal storage is great for regular usage. However, if you need more memory, insert a MicroSD card.
Redmi 9 is equipped with a 5020mAh battery which can serve up to 2 days if used moderately. Though this Smartphone is compatible with 18W fast charging, the box includes a 10-watt charger. It may take 2.5 to 3 hours to fully recharge this device. If provided with an 18W charge, Redmi 9 could have been a perfect package.
