Design

Xiaomi Mi11 sports a 6.81-inch AMOLED display featuring Wide Quad HD Plus 3200×1440 resolution. Its marvelous quad curved DotDisplay panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus that assures better scratch resistance.

Mi11 rocks with a 120 Hz refresh rate with 480Hz Touch sampling rate and HDR10+ panel. By virtue of superb 515 PPI densities, its display can skillfully visualize every detail of image, graphics, and video on the screen. Furthermore, its display features JNCD (Just noticeable Color Difference) of 0.38 (ultra-high quasi-primary color screen) along with the color calibration algorithm. Mi11 is programmed with the most recent MIUI 12.5 operating system featuring upgrades in privacy, and security optimization. It also offers efficient haptics, animation, system optimizations, breathtaking Super Wallpapers, and many more exciting features.

Through system optimizations, you can preserve its memory and battery power up to 32% and 17% respectively. MIUI 12.5 decreases the power consumption of Super Wallpapers up to 40% that assures longer battery life. The new MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 OS facilitates multi-tasking with superb efficiency.

Processor and Performance

Xiaomi Mi11 is going to be the first Flagship Smartphone of 2021 that unveils the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 888 SoC built with 5nm architecture. Xiaomi claims that Mi11’s CPU configuration would offer 35% better performance with 20% enhanced power efficiency; but how?

Mi11 is powered by an octa-core processor. This combination is composed of 3 segments. One core features Arm Cortex-X1 with 2.84GHz of utmost clock speed. Three cores are designed by Arm Cortex A-78 with 2.42 clock speed. And the rest four cores are built-in Cortex A55 architecture with a 1.8 GHz clock speed. Not to mention, this advanced chipset promises staggering power efficiency assuring superior performance, and greater computational capabilities.

The graphic unit of Mi11 is enriched with the most up-to-date Adreno™ 660 (747 MHz) GPU. The manufacturer demands that compared to the preceding generations of Adreno graphics card, the latest 660 can deliver about 35% faster performance, especially during graphics rendering.

Mi11 is blessed with LPDDR5 RAM that runs at 3200MHz and supported by UFS 3.1 data transfer technology. It is expected that this advanced storage combo would assist the Snapdragon 888 chipset in delivering the best possible performance.

However, Mi11 may show some lags while opening apps. It is quite unrespectable from a flagship phone in this price range. However, software optimizations can solve these issues.

Rear Camera Series

On the rear panel, Xiaomi Mi11 bears triple camera housing that includes a 108MP prime rear camera, a 13MP wide-angle camera and a 5MP macro camera. It is a pity that Mi11 offers almost the same configuration as the ancestor Mi10.

With f/1.85 aperture, Mi 11’s main sensor is supported with an efficient Photography algorithm, OIS, and pixel-binning technology that allow the users in capturing stunning images preserving brightness and visual quality with reduced noise even under inadequate light conditions. In ample daylight, the main rear camera takes mind-blowing pictures with superb color contrast and adequate details. The portraits are also awesome displaying close to natural skin tones of the main objects.

Its 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera featuring 123° field-of-view and f/2.4 aperture enables the users to capture panoramic views for landscapes, scenarios, or large groups. However, the ultra-wide-angle images captured by Mi11 look less impressive than Mi10 Ultra. Certainly, modification is required in this sector.

Unlike the gimmick macro lenses of other phones, Mi11 is provided with a truly efficient macro camera. Its 5MP 50mm (f/2.2) telephoto macro lens would let you explore your creativity in capturing the hidden beauty of tiny objects through macro photography.

Front Camera

On the front screen, Mi11 has a 20 MP selfie camera featuring an f/2.2 aperture. You can capture awesome portraits with this lens. The background is blurred efficiently keeping the main subjects in focus. However, some colors may be boosted to make the photos more attractive.

Video Efficiency

Xiaomi Mi11 is capable of shooting 8K video footage at 24/30fps, or 4K footage at 30/60fps. You can also capture 1080p video clips at 30/60/120/240/480fps. It also has gyro-EIS facility. This latest Mi phone is blessed with several built-in creative video making software solutions and video filters.  In simple words, with Mi11 you can capture videos applying versatile film effects and incredible zoom effects. 

Battery

Mi11 is powered by a 4,600 mAh battery. However, many low priced competitors are offering almost double powered batteries now-a-days. But don’t worry! Mi11 runs for almost a full day with the provided battery, if used moderately. On heavy usage, the battery may exhaust a bit earlier. 

Following the trend of the Apple iPhone 12 series, Xiaomi has not provided any charger in the box of Mi11’s Mainland China standard version.

The latest Mi Smartphone is compatible with 55W wired flash charging technology supported by Mi TurboCharge mechanism. It takes only 45 minutes to fully charge Mi11.  It also supports 50W wireless fast charging that can charge the phone in 53 minutes. What is more? This device facilitates 10W wireless reverse charging which can rescue other electronic devices at the moment of necessity.
