Nineteen more people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Thakurgaon district in the last 24 hours till Saturday.
With the new detection, the confirmed coronavirus cases in the district now stand at 897, said Civil Surgeon Mahfuzar Rahman.
Among the infected people, five are from Baliadangi upazila, six from Pirganj and eight from Ranishankail upazila, according to a report received on Friday evening from Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital.
So far, 16 people have died of Covid-19 in the district while 525 recovered from the virus infections.

The country on Friday recorded 47 more deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death tally to 4,174.
During the period, 2,221 new cases were detected.
Bangladesh has so far confirmed 3,06,794 corona cases.
