Police on Thursday morning arrested two teachers of a madrasa for torturing a seven-year-old student in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district.

The arrestees are- Mazed Hossain and Shahin Hossain, teachers of Kashipur Darul Ulum Qawmi Madrasa.

The student’s father Alauddin Miah said that the two teachers beat his son Nasim Hossain mercilessly on Wednesday evening.

Later, he filed a written complaint at Jibannagar Police Station.

Police arrested them after the complaint was filed, said Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of the police station.
