A court here on Tuesday placed four members of a syndicate involved in issuing fake Covid-19 certificates, on a three-day remand in connection with a case filed at Mugda Police Station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Biswas passed the order when Sub-Inspector Foysal Munshi of Mugda Police Station and also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before a virtual court with seven-day remand prayer.
Those who were remanded are -- Fazal Haq, 40, Sharif Hossain, 32, Jamshed, 30 and Liakat Ali, 43.
The court also rejected their bail petition, when their lawyers filed separate petitions seeking bail.
Earlier, on Monday, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested four people along with fake Covid-19 certificates, two computers, two printers and two scanners.
Later a case was filed at Mugda Police Station.
