Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate drives arrested 60 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in the capital in 24 hours till 6 am on Thursday.
During the drives, 4,955 contraband yaba pills, 580 grams of heroin, 75 bottles of contraband Phensidyle and 56.415 kg of cannabis were recovered from the possessions of the arrestees.

As part of the DMP’s regular anti-drug drive, Detective Branch (DB) and local police stations raided on various areas in the capital from Wednesday 6 am to 6 am on Thursday and recovered the drugs.
A total of 45 cases were registered with local police stations against the arrested people under the Narcotics Control Act.
