Dhaka, Oct 7 (UNB)- Students of Dhaka University (DU) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) staged demonstrations on their respective campuses demanding capital punishment of the killers of Abrar Fahad.
Several hundred students of Dhaka University, led by DUCSU Vice President Nurul Haque Nur, held a protest rally at the base of anti-terrorism Raju sculpture around 12.30 pm.
Addressing the rally DUCSU social welfare secretary Akhter Hossain said it’s clear that who are responsible for Abrar’s death. “We want exemplary punishment of the killers as soon as possible so that no such incident can take place in future.”
Akhter said Abrar’s death is the consequences of the absence of justice in the society.
After the rally they brought out a procession that paraded the main points of the university and ended in front Sher-E-Bangla hall of Buet.
