While the fresh cases and deaths from coronavirus are spiraling in the country, the number of vehicles multiplied on the streets of Dhaka, posing a high-risk of mass-contamination of the deadly virus.
Taking advantage of the announcement to relax the restrictive measures, people are now venturing out more, worrying less about the risk of being infected with the virus.
Some of them are even gathering at different shops and malls for their Eid shopping.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Wednesday said they are all set to issue a gazette notification extending the ongoing general holidays until May 30. Government offices at different levels across the country will remain open on a limited scale, he added.
