With the fresh ones, the total death toll from the deadly virus in the country reached 8,137 while the mortality rate stood at 1.52 percent, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a handout.
It said the Covid-19 infection rate in the country is now 3.55 percent.
Meanwhile, the new cases pushed up the national tally to 535,582,putting the current overall detection rate at 14.62 percent.
Until this morning, 480,216 patients (89.66 percent of the total reported cases) have recovered.
So far, 3,664,197 samples were tested, including 12,556during the past 24 hours.
Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18 last year.

Global Covid-19 Situation
With the worsening situation, the Covid-19 cases were now nearing 103 million in the world on Monday, according to the Johns Hopkins University (JHU).
A total of 102,944,487 people were found infected with the virus with 2,227,568 fatalities as of Monday morning.
The US remained the world's worst-hit country, with 26,185,362 cases and 441,319 deaths, as per the data.
The total number of Covid-19 cases in the United States topped 26 million on Saturday.

Brazil is the second in the world in number of deaths from the disease, following the United States.
Brazil confirmed this month a new variant of the coronavirus in the state of Amazonas, which has increased pressure on the state's health system, especially in the state capital of Manaus, which faced a lack of oxygen supplies to treat Covid-19 patients.
India's Covid-19 tally rose to 10,746,183 on Sunday as 13,052 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, said the latest data from the federal health ministry.
The nationwide vaccination drive was kicked off on January 16 and more than 3.7 million people, mainly health workers, have been vaccinated across the country.
Two types of vaccines are being administered to the people in India. While the Covishield vaccine made by the Serum Institute of India (SII) was supplied to all states, the Covaxin vaccine from the "Bharat Biotech International Limited" was supplied to only 12 states

Vaccination in Bangladesh
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched a Covid-19 vaccination drive at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital on January 27.
Health Minister ZahidMaleque said at the launch that “70 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines are now available in the country. The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is the safest one in the world".
For getting a shot, one needs to register on www.surokkha.gov.bd.
For now, the vaccination programme will be limited to five centres in the capital and nationwide inoculation will start in early February.
