Three people, including two rickshaw pullers, were injured Wednesday after shattered glass littered the street following a gas geyser explosion on the fifth floor of Victory Hotel in the capital’s Naya Paltan.
The blast took place at around 7:15pm next to the BNP central office.

Paltan Police Station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Abu Bakkar Siddiqui said a gas geyser could have exploded.
"The geyser was located in a bathroom on the fifth floor of the hotel. The explosion caused all the window glass to shatter and fall in on the pedestrians, injuring three people, including two rickshaw pullers."

Of the injured, two people took first aid while another was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the OC said.
