This was disclosed at a regular meeting of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the city on Tuesday.
It instructed government and non-government hospital authorities to keep their helpdesk open round the clock during the upcoming Eid vacation, said an official release on Tuesday.
It said those who are leaving the capital to celebrate Eid in their respective villages will receive guideline through mobile SMS from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) about what to do to tackle dengue.
The DGHS also stressed the need for ensuring the treatment of dengue patients at district and upazila levels as per the national guideline.
The community clinics will be kept open round the clock during the Eid vacation and DGHS directed the authorities concerned to ensure necessary manpower and logistics there, the release said.
DGHS director Prof DrAbul Kalam Azad, director, disease control unit Prof Dr SaniaT ahmina, director (MIS) Dr Samir Kanti were, among others, present at the meeting.
