The FBCCI will purchase 10 percent of the first production lot and supply it to the hospitals dealing with COVID-19 patients, Ministry of Health and other hospitals from the next production lot, as required.
This is another attempt by the FBCCI to stand by Bangladesh's health system and people, he said.
The FBCCI extended its deepest appreciation and gratitude to the Minster Hi-Tech Park Electronics Limited, its Chairman and FBCCI Director MA Razzak Khan (Raj), his team, the Biomedical Experts of BUET and the FBCCI's Team Members.
Chairman of Minster Hi-Tech Park Electronics Limited and FBCCI Director M A Razzaq Khan (Raj) said Minster Hi-Tech Park Electronics Limited is working to develop ventilator for the people of the country which is very important for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
"We are close to achieving success. Next week we will be producing 100 units of the ventilator. After that, we will produce 500, 1000 unit and later as required," he said.
The cost of this ventilator will be between Tk 75-85 thousand.
"We have no business purpose here but we want to serve the people of this country through the supply of ventilators. We would like to hand these over to the Prime Minister, for use in hospitals for the treatment of COVID-19," he said.
He added that many people, including State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, FBCCI President Fahim, Senior Vice President Muntakim Ashraf are cooperating directly-indirectly with them.
Minster Hi-Tech Park Electronics Ltd is currently working on manufacturing oxygen ventilation equipment at its factory.
Also, machines have already been brought in for mask production, and mask production is also underway.
It will start manufacturing this emergency medical equipment within this month.

Electronics manufacturing company Minister to make ventilators
Bangladeshi electronics manufacturing company Minster has taken an initiative to make ventilators in the country due to growing demand following coronavirus outbreak .
The worldwide coronavirus pandemic caused a huge crisis of ventilators or oxygen machines which is extremely essentials for saving lives.
The Ministry of ICT, apex trade body FBCCI, some public-private hospitals and biomedical engineers from BUET are assisting Minister in the process of making ventilators.
Minster Hi-Tech Park Electronics Limited's experienced engineers along with research and development (R&D) team are in overall charge of the process, said a media release on Sunday.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, "With the help of the world-renowned medical device manufacturer, Medtronic, several local electronics manufacturers including Minster have come forward to produce ventilators. We are extremely optimistic that ventilators will be produced within the shortest time in our country.”
President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Sheikh Fazle Fahim said the Bangladeshi company Minster Hi-Tech Park Electronics Limited has developed a prototype of ventilator which, after the permission of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and they will start production of it in full.
