Kawran Bazar, the largest kitchen market in Dhaka, maintains its old bustling character amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country, with people too engrossed in buying groceries to bother about the virus.
People were seen wearing only face masks as part of their safety measures. Social distancing doesn’t get a look in, as people seem tired of special measures and desperately seek to return to the normal pace of life.
Meanwhile, with just over a million Covid-19 tests carried out since March, Bangladesh on Friday inched closer to 200,000 officially confirmed cases – which means nearly one in every five tests had turned out to be positive.
