Sultana Razia Munni, resident of Gazipara in Teknaf, filed the case with Cox’s Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court.
Judge Helal Uddin of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court directed Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf to investigate the matter.
Plaintiff’s lawyer Kashem Ali said on May 7, cops led by OC Pradeep detained Gazipara resident Syed Alam, his brother Nurul Alam and their nephew Syed Hossain Prokash Abdul Monaf, who was a member of Bangladesh Ansar.
Pradeep demanded Tk 50 lakh from the detainees’ family as bribe to release the trio, he said.
Later, in the early morning the OC killed the victims ‘staging a gunfight’ in a paddy field as their family failed to pay the money, Ali said.
Meanwhile, Pradeep was suspended in connection with the killing of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar district on August 8.
Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Commission on August 23 filed a case against former Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das and his wife for amassing wealth worth Tk 4 crore from unknown sources.
