Chudanga, Oct 4 (UNB) – An octogenarian man was crushed under a train near Bananipara rail gate in Sadar upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Alauddin Mandal alias Ala, of Sadar upazila.
Jalal Uddin, sub-inspector of Chuadanga Railway Police, said ‘Nakshikantha’ mail train from Khulna hit Alauddin when he was standing near the rail track around 6 am, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to local hospital morgue for autopsy.
