Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former general secretary of Cox's Bazar unit of Awami League Nazrul Islam Chowdhury.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Naszul Islam Chowdhury died at 5pm at a hospital in Cox's Bazar. He was 78.
He left behind his wife, one son and two daughters, relatives and a host of well wishers.
Meanwhile, Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader also expressed sorrow and shock at the death of Nazrul Islam Chowdhury.
