PM mourns death of Ekushey Padak recipient Aly Zaker


Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ekushey Padak recipient, eminent cultural personality and member of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra Aly Zaker.

Aly Zaker passed away this morning at 6:40am after a four-year battle with cancer at the age of 76.

In a condolence message, she said that the contribution of Aly Zaker in the great Liberation War, the country's arts and cultural arena will be remembered forever.
 
Sheikh Hasina prayed for the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
 
Besides, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Aly Zaker. 

In separate condolence messages, they prayed for the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
