President off to UAE for medical check-up


President Abdul Hamid left Dhaka on Wednesday for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for health check-up.

A regular flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7.12 pm.

Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak, Cabinet Secretary, UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdullah Ali Hmoudi, Chiefs of three services and  senior civil and  military officials saw him off at the VVIP terminal of the airport.

He is scheduled to return home on Oct 22.
