Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday forecasted light to moderate rain, thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions in the next 24 hours commencing 6 pm.
It also predicted moderately heavy falls at one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions.
The BMD also said that the axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated trough extends up to North Bay.
Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Sunday’s highest temperature – 35.5 degrees Celsius – was recorded in Ishwardi and Tarash and lowest 20.6C at Tetulia in Panchagarh.
The sun will rise at 5:32am on Tuesday in Dhaka.
