Rajshahi councillor held with heroin worth Tk 1.3 cr


Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested the councillor of Godagari Municipality in Rajshahi along with heroin worth Tk 1 crore from Mohishalbari area on Friday.

The arrestee Mofazzol Hossain alias Mofa, 57, councillor of Godagari Municipality was held at 8 am, said a press release of Rab.

Rab men held Mofa during a drive conducted acting on a tip off in Mohishalbari area.

Around 1.33 kg heroin which would worth approximately Tk 1.30 crore was seized from his possession.
